C.J. Johnson is an Austin, TX area (Leander/Liberty Hill to be more precise) based, multi-faceted entertainer.

He started performing while in college at Texas A&M University in 1984 with a juggling and magic act – performed in whiteface! His magic skills grew considerably and eventually by 1994 he had built a large illusion show with a dozen illusions, dancers, backstage assistants and all of the big production. He toured through Texas at theaters in all size towns with a show for fund-raisers. That was 30 years ago – and C.J. still does quite a few of these shows (though smaller in scale) to this very day – all with the same promoter!

He’s a husband, a father of three boys, and a newly minted Grandpa to the cutest granddaughter ever (just ask him!).

C.J. is a consummate entertainer and can be seen as a Magician, a Hypnotist, a Game Show Host, and hosting novelty events at colleges. He’s also dabbled through the years in juggling, stand-up comedy, and writing books.

Well respected by his peers he’s performed over 10 times at Texas Association of Magicians conventions, was a regular headliner at Magic Island in Houston, has headlined several casinos throughout the country, has been awarded “Hypnotist of the Year” by the college market, won awards for “Best Comedy Magic Act” from the TAOM, Best Original Illusion design, “Best Game Show” and “Outstanding Novelty” from the APCA. He proudly displays a “Best Dad” mug on his desk and is certain it must have been the only one made. Best award ever.

He even toured a summer doing Hypnosis shows with Brooks & Dunn, Rascal Flatts & Brad Paisley, playing over 35 cities and performing in front of crowds of 15,000+ on most nights!

He’s also an accomplished leather maker and an enthusiastic attendee of Renassaince Festivals known for his character “Medival Knievel”.
